The Howard Johnson Traverse City is proud to offer our new Special Occasion Package.

The Special Occasion Package is offered to our guests as an add-on to any room reserved.  It features a bottle of Old School White wine from Peninsula Cellars, along with a box of four handmade chocolates from the Chocolate Den.  You can also enjoy a noon checkout, along with all of our standard in-room amenities and expanded continental breakfast.  

You can add the Special Occasion Package to any of our room types for an additional charge of $25.  An advance notice of 48 hours is required and this package is only available by calling one of our guest services representatives at (231) 995-0600.

Wine Package

The Howard Johnson Traverse City has teamed up with the expert wine makers at Peninsula Cellars to provide our guests with an unique Old Mission Peninsula wine tasting experience.

Peninsula Cellars is a family run winery located on the beautiful Old Mission Peninsula, a short drive north of downtown Traverse City. Their wine making philosophy is rooted in allowing true regional expression to show through the wine, allowing a more minimalistic approach to the production process. The tasting room is located in a turn-of-the century schoolhouse, which stills contains the original wood floors, windows, state boards and bell. The package includes a special rate for two nights lodging, all applicable taxes and a 12 pm late check-out. You will also receive a voucher to enjoy a wine tasting at the Peninsula Cellars and a 15% discount on any wine purchase.
